Welcome to my travel adventures!

August 2nd, 2009

I am a travelnerd… my family wonders where i got my nomadic spirit from. I have never been happy for long in one place and home is where i hang my hat at night.
Naturally i feel comfortable in any place that provides me with a bed and some minimal comfort. I have enjoyed the hospitality of many people along the way, be it of some distant relative of my host parents in Belize and Arizona or of another traveler who shared parts of my way with me. (I thank all those who HAVE been part of my way and the impact you all have made!!!)

I would like to give a short overview of places i have been, some recently, others a while back…

The most recent has been Belize, a small but enchanting country in Central America, situated south of Yucatan, east of Guatemala and north of Honduras. This trip has been one of a kind!

I have also been to The United States (Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, Nevada), Mexico, Turkey, Bali, HongKong, The Canary Islands, The Balearic Islands, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Jordan, France, The Netherlands and Jugoslawia (Serbia and Croatia).

Usually the travel nerves start itching three times a year but unfortunately i have to keep a day job to keep the money flowing to pay my bills and save up in order to be able to travel the world… in small steps! There are many places i would still like to go, for example Cambodia, Thailand and Laos, Fiji, the Seychelles, Australia, South Africa, Kenia, Madagaskar… just to name a few! In compiling this list i can already feel the nerves again… and soon enough i will be going on my second Belize trip.

Check back for my travelreport of the first Belize trip from June/July 2009!

Happy Trails!
